Sunday, April 9, 2023 – 3 PM ET (eastern time, USA)
But what if, after all the time you’ve spent excavating your true story, the book you are holding in your hand does not conform to “expected” memoir traditions? Options abound, and this illustrated presentation explores some of the rich possibilities crafted by writers ranging from Victoria Chang, Sarah Manguso, Ocean Vuong, and Deborah Levy to, May Sarton and Margo Jefferson. I’ll be sharing my own adventures in the non-traditional as well. I offer a few takeaway prompts at the end.
Forty-five-minute lecture/Fifteen-minute Q and A session.
