Sometimes the story we most want to tell (need to tell) is the story we are not quite sure is ours to tell, or the story that, were we to tell it completely, might shatter relationships that matter. Where do we draw the lines? What and who do we prioritize? How do we get closest to the truths that define us? Drawing from a wide range of literary and artistic sources, this illustrated presentation will offer both insights and cautionary tales. I will share the deep thinking that has guided me throughout my writing life, as well as some of the mistakes I’ve made. I share a few takeaway prompts at the end.
