In this final workshop we’ll consider the tricky questions that relate to memoir—the ethics of writing about another, the ethics of disguising truths, the ethics of one-sided storytelling, and all the rest of it. I’ll be sharing excerpts from writers like Helen Garner, Mary Karr, Joan Wickersham, and Edwidge Danticat. I’ll also be sharing publishing stories and placement possibilities. We’ll have a longer Q and A during this session, for this is sensitive material and often provokes deep conversations.
